As an Assembler II, you will play a critical role in the production process by assembling high-quality electronic components and ensuring that products meet internal standards and customer specifications. Your key duties will include:
- Setting up and operating both automated and manual preparation equipment within your department to support production.
- Installing thru-hole components, such as capacitors, resistors, ICs, and connectors, following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Utilizing various hand tools to assist in thru-hole assembly operations and minor part-fitting tasks, including filing and crimping.
- De-paneling individual circuit boards from arrays with precision and care as required.
- Creating and applying labels (e.g., serial numbers, revision identifiers) to ensure proper tracking and identification, in accordance with work instructions.
- Completing high-volume, routine, and repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to quality standards.
- Performing thorough inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
To succeed as an Assembler II, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions in English.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity for handling small electronic components and performing fine precision tasks.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for assembly processes.
- Certifications: IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is preferred, but not required.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in your role.
- Ability to work under the guidance of senior personnel while participating in ongoing training to develop and refine job-specific skills.
